Terms you can actually read.
These are the terms for using Stratl during private early access. They are short because the deal is simple. Short on time? Read only the bold line under each question.
Version 1.0In force from 21 September 2026Vyana Compute, New Delhi, India
What you can count on
- Your records and content stay yours. We use them only to run the service for you.
- We never hold your signing key, and the service cannot delete your records.
- Anything you export keeps verifying without us, whatever happens to Stratl.
- Early access is free, and nothing you record will be held back to make you pay.
- If we end early access, you get 30 days' notice and time to export.
What we ask of you
- Only send data you have the right to send.
- Keep your ingest keys secret, and tell us if one leaks.
- Do not attack, overload or resell the service.
- Do not treat Stratl as legal advice or as proof that you comply with a law.
- Accept that early access has no uptime promise yet.
You are reading the bold lines only. They are part of the text, and they are accurate, but the detail under each one still applies.
Who is agreeing to what?
You, and the company you work for, on one side. Vyana Compute, which builds and runs Stratl, on the other. Creating a workspace means you accept these terms.
"We" and "us" mean Vyana Compute, based in New Delhi, India. "You" means the person creating the workspace and the organisation they act for. By creating a workspace you confirm that you are at least 18 and that you are allowed to accept terms on that organisation's behalf. If you are not, please do not create one.
These terms cover the Stratl service, this website, the SDKs and the command-line verifier. Our privacy page is part of the deal and explains what happens to data.
What does "private early access" mean for me?
Stratl is free for now, it is not finished, and it comes without an uptime promise. We tell you plainly what works and what does not.
The core works end to end: capture, signing, custody, checkpoints, verification and evidence.
No charge during early access. Pricing will be announced with notice, and your existing records will not be held back to make you pay.
No service level agreement, no SOC 2 report, and no guarantee that a feature stays exactly as it is today.
We may set fair limits on volume, and we may change or remove features. We will tell you before anything that affects records you already have.
The early access page lists what works, what is in progress and what is not built, with the date it was last reviewed. If it and the product disagree, tell us and we will fix one of them.
What is Stratl, and what is it not?
Stratl keeps verifiable evidence of what your AI agents decided. It is not legal advice, it does not make you compliant, and it does not judge whether a decision was right.
- Framework coverage shows which fields a law or standard asks for and which a record lacks. That is coverage. It is not certification, and whether you meet an obligation is for you and your counsel.
- A notice Stratl drafts for an affected person is a draft. Someone at your company must read and approve it before it is sent. You are responsible for what you send.
- A record says how it was captured: observed, attested or enforced. Stratl never raises that level, and you should not describe a record as stronger evidence than it says it is.
- Stratl records what your capture points send. It cannot record what it was never sent.
Who owns what I send?
You do. You give us permission to store, sign, index and serve it back to you, and for nothing else.
That permission lasts while your workspace exists and ends when the data is deleted. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or train models on it. The details are on the privacy page.
In return, you promise that you have the right to send us what you send. Decision records are often about real people: customers, applicants, employees. Telling those people what the law says they must be told, and having a lawful reason to process their data, is your responsibility. We act on your instructions.
What am I responsible for in my account?
Everything done in your workspace or with your ingest keys. Keep keys secret, and tell us quickly if one leaks.
- An ingest key is shown once. It can write records and can never read them. Revoke a key in Settings the moment you suspect it has leaked.
- Sign-in is by a one-time code sent to your email, so keep that mailbox secure.
- Give us a real email address. It is how we reach you about security and about changes to these terms.
What must I not do?
Do not break the law with Stratl, attack it, overload it, or resell it. Do not put secrets in fields that get indexed.
- Do not send data you have no right to send, or use Stratl for anything unlawful.
- Do not probe, scan or attack the service, or try to reach another workspace's data. If you want to test our security, write to us first and we will agree a way.
- Do not send traffic designed to overload the service, or get around limits we set.
- Do not resell Stratl or offer it to others as your own service without a written agreement with us.
- Do not put passwords, card numbers or similar secrets into record fields such as subject identifiers. Those fields are indexed and searchable. Send content as content, where it is fingerprinted.
If we find a serious breach of these rules we may suspend the workspace. We will tell you why, and unless there is an immediate risk to others we will warn you first.
Who owns the software, and can I use the SDKs freely?
The service and the Stratl name are ours. The SDKs are open source under Apache 2.0, and the record format is documented so that anyone can verify a record.
You may use the service for your own organisation while your workspace exists. Where an SDK or tool ships with its own licence, that licence applies to it. Please do not use the Stratl name or wordmark in a way that suggests we endorse you, unless we have agreed to it.
If you send us ideas or feedback, thank you. We may use them freely, without owing you anything, and without revealing anything confidential about you.
How do I leave, and can you end my access?
You can leave at any time. Export what you need, revoke your keys and tell us to delete the rest. If we ever end early access, you get at least 30 days' notice.
- Export. Download evidence bundles and period packs for whatever you need to keep. They verify offline, without any Stratl service, for as long as you keep them.
- Revoke. Revoke your ingest keys in Settings and stop sending.
- Delete. Email us and we delete the workspace as the privacy page describes.
We may suspend or close a workspace that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk. If we close one for any other reason, including ending early access altogether, we give at least 30 days' notice and keep export working for that time.
What if something goes wrong?
We work hard to keep Stratl correct and available, but during early access it is provided as it is, and our financial liability to you is limited to what you have paid us.
In plain terms: Stratl is free right now, so that limit is currently zero. We say that openly so you can weigh it. It is one reason we suggest starting with a staging agent or a low-risk workflow, and one reason the design lets you verify and keep your evidence without depending on us.
- To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that it fits a particular purpose.
- Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost business.
- Our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
- Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as liability for fraud.
You are responsible for claims that arise from data you had no right to send us, or from your breach of these terms.
What if we disagree?
Talk to us first. Most things are solved by a person reading an email. If that fails, the laws of India apply and the courts in New Delhi decide.
Write to hello@stratl.ai and give us 30 days to put things right before starting formal proceedings. If you are a consumer with rights under the law where you live that cannot be signed away, those rights stay.
If one part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we do not enforce something once, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer these terms to someone else without our agreement. We may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganisation of Stratl, and we will tell you if we do.
What happens when this page changes?
If a change matters, we email every workspace owner at least 14 days before it takes effect. The history is below.
Fixing a typo or making a sentence clearer does not count as a change that matters. Collecting something new, sharing data with someone new, or changing what you or we are committed to does. If you do not agree with a change, you can export your evidence and close your workspace before it takes effect.
